12V recovery winch with 9,500lb rated first-layer line pull, 26m of synthetic rope and an aluminium hawse fairlead. Features IP68 protection, an automatic gearbox brake and a wired handheld remote. Free UK delivery.

The Novawinch PRO9500 PRO PLUS combines 9,500lb (4,309kg) of rated first-layer line pull with synthetic rope for easier handling during recovery. Designed for suitably equipped 4x4s, recovery vehicles and trailers, this 12V electric winch comes with 26m of 9.5mm synthetic rope, an aluminium hawse fairlead and a waterproof wired handheld remote.
A series-wound motor drives a combination of spur and planetary gears. The automatic brake sits inside the gearbox, away from the rope drum, helping reduce the rope's exposure to braking heat.
Synthetic rope is lighter and more flexible to handle than a comparable steel wire rope, making it easier to carry out to an anchor point. The aluminium hawse fairlead provides a smooth guiding surface as the rope enters the drum.
Protect the rope from sharp edges, abrasive surfaces and heat, and inspect it before each use. If you are comparing the two options, our synthetic rope versus steel cable guide explains their handling and maintenance differences.
The PRO9500 has a first-layer line speed of 16m/min with no load, helping reduce the time spent retrieving unloaded rope. At its full rated pull of 9,500lb, line speed is 1.3m/min.
A rotating ring-gear clutch, operated by a 90-degree turn lever, allows you to free-spool the rope when setting up a pull. The supplied handheld remote connects directly to the winch through its 3.9m cable.
The winch measures 608mm long × 180mm wide × 238mm high and uses a 254mm × 114mm mounting bolt pattern. Check the available space, mounting structure and fairlead position before installation.
Current draw is 50A with no load and 360A at full rated first-layer pull. Use a suitable 12V battery supply, correctly sized cables and secure electrical connections. Follow the supplied instructions for installation, operating periods and cooling between demanding pulls.
The 9,500lb rating describes pulling force, not a maximum vehicle weight. The force needed for recovery depends on the slope, ground conditions and whether the vehicle can roll. Available line pull also decreases as rope builds up on the drum.
Our guide to line pull and drum layers explains how this affects performance. If you prefer steel cable, see the PRO9500 PRO PLUS with steel wire rope.
This winch is intended for pulling and recovery, not overhead lifting. Use suitable independent restraints to secure vehicles during transport.
