GRT MAX Series: EN Rated Hydraulic Winches from 20,000lb to 45,000lb

The Novawinch HEN MAX Series is our heavy-duty range of EN rated hydraulic winches, from 20,000lb to 45,000lb (9.1 to 20.4 tonnes). Built to EN 14492-1, they're designed for heavy recovery trucks, rotators, low loaders, plant and other commercial vehicles where an EN rated winch is required.

Every HEN MAX winch has a multi-disc brake, IP67 seals and oversized steel drum supports. Every winch comes with a 2-year warranty and free next-day UK mainland delivery, or you can click and collect from our Rothwell, Leeds site.

HEN MAX Models

Manual or Pneumatic Clutch?

A manual clutch uses a lever on the winch to free-spool the drum. It's simple and doesn't need an air supply, which suits vehicles without onboard air. A pneumatic clutch is operated by air pressure (1 to 8 bar), so you can free-spool the winch remotely from a control point, which is useful on large recovery trucks and rotators with an air system.

Standard or Long Drum?

The HEN45000 comes in two drum lengths. The standard drum holds 34m of rope and fits a more compact mounting space. The long drum holds 58m, for recoveries that need more reach from the vehicle.

Hydraulic System Requirements

HEN MAX winches need an oil flow of 35 to 90 litres per minute (40 to 90 l/min for the HEN45000) at working pressures of 15 to 17 MPa. An independent oil supply with a relief valve is recommended. Check that your vehicle's PTO, pump and hydraulic circuit can supply this, and that the mounting is engineered for loads up to 20 tonnes. Our hydraulic winches guide explains what to check.
