The Novawinch EN Series is our range of electric winches built to EN 14492-1, the European standard for power-driven winches. They're designed for recovery trucks, flat-bed trailers, car transporters and commercial fleets where an EN rated winch is required by an employer, insurer, fleet policy or customer.

Every EN Series winch has a 4-stage planetary gear train, a mechanical automatic brake in the drum and a waterproof wired remote. Every winch comes with a 2-year warranty and free next-day UK mainland delivery, or you can click and collect from our Rothwell, Leeds site.

What Does EN Rated Mean?

EN 14492-1 sets out safety requirements for the design, construction and testing of power-driven winches. A winch built to the standard comes with documented performance, which makes it easier for commercial operators to show their equipment is suitable for professional use.

EN rated winches are mainly chosen by recovery operators, transport and fleet operators, and vehicle builders whose employer, insurer, contract or customer specifies the standard.
