A duplex webbing sling is a flat polyester lifting sling made from two layers of webbing stitched together. The double layer gives higher working loads and better wear resistance than a single-layer (simplex) sling. The broad, flat face spreads the load, which protects painted, machined or easily marked surfaces where chain or wire rope would be too harsh.

What Is a Duplex Sling?

A duplex sling uses two layers of high-tenacity polyester. Compared with single-layer webbing, you typically get more durability and a wider choice of working load limits, while keeping the light weight and easy handling of a textile sling.

Choosing the Right Webbing Sling

Inspect before use for cuts, abrasion, damaged stitching, heat or chemical damage, or a missing label. Remove damaged slings from service.
