The KXH9000 is built for operators who need the holding power of a worm drive with hydraulic power. 52:1 worm gear ratio, 4.8 cu. in. (81.5 cc) hydraulic motor. Rated line pull 9,000 lb (4,082 kg) on first layer. Suited to chassis-mounted recovery trucks and industrial plant.
The worm gear / wheel drive provides natural braking and secure load-holding. Mechanical, automatic lock braking adds safety for vertical or incline work. Copper alloy worm gear wheel and tapered bearings are specified for torque, abrasion resistance and alignment.
Hydraulic pressure: 2,030 PSI (14 MPa / 140 bar). Flow: 15.9 GPM (60 L/min). Line speed 19.7 FPM (6 m/min). Recommended cable 13/32" x 68.9' (10.3mm x 21m), min breaking strength 102 kN. Drum 4.3" x 7.8" (110mm x 200mm).

A worm gear winch uses a worm and worm wheel to drive the drum. This design provides natural braking and strong load-holding because the gear set does not back-drive under load. The KXE12000 and KXH9000 uses this principle for reliable, safe operation in recovery and industrial use.
Worm gear winches (like the KXE12000) have built-in load-holding and natural braking from the worm-and-wheel design. Planetary winches are often lighter and faster but rely on a separate brake for load-holding. The KXE12000 and KXH9000 is built for applications where holding power and reliability are the priority.
The KXH9000 requires 2,030 PSI (14 MPa / 140 bar) system pressure and 15.9 GPM (60 L/min) flow. Your hydraulic power source (pump, PTO or power pack) must be able to supply at least these values for the winch to perform to specification.
