Large-frame 12V recovery winch with 15,000lb rated first-layer line pull, 28m of steel wire rope and a roller fairlead. Features four-stage planetary gearing, an automatic load-holding brake and a wired remote. Free UK delivery.

The Novawinch NVT15000 is a large-frame 12V electric winch for recovery and vehicle-loading applications. With 15,000lb (6,804kg) of rated line pull on the first rope layer, it suits correctly equipped recovery vehicles, trailers and agricultural vehicles where the mounting structure and electrical supply can support the installation.
It comes with 28m of 11.5mm steel wire rope, a roller fairlead, hook and waterproof wired handheld remote. A series-wound motor drives four-stage planetary gearing, while a mechanical automatic brake holds the load when winching stops.
The supplied 28m steel wire rope provides reach for setting up recovery and loading pulls. The roller fairlead guides the rope towards the drum, while the free-spool clutch allows you to pull it out without powering the motor.
Inspect the rope for broken wires, kinks and other damage before use, and wear suitable gloves when handling it. If you are comparing rope options, our synthetic rope versus steel cable guide explains their handling and maintenance differences.
On the first rope layer, the NVT15000 has a no-load line speed of 3.8m/min. At its full rated pull of 15,000lb, line speed is 1m/min and current draw is 380A.
The installation needs a suitable 12V battery supply, correctly sized cables and secure connections. Follow the supplied instructions for installation, operating periods and cooling between demanding pulls.
If your vehicle uses a 24V electrical system, see the 24V NVT15000 with steel wire rope. Always match the winch voltage to the intended power supply.
The NVT15000 measures 642mm long × 215mm wide × 288mm high and weighs 68kg. It offers mounting patterns of 254mm × 114mm and 254mm × 165mm. Check the mounting structure, available clearance and fairlead position before ordering.
The 15,000lb rating describes pulling force, not a maximum vehicle weight. The force needed for recovery depends on the slope, ground conditions and whether the vehicle can roll. Available line pull also decreases as rope builds up on the drum.
Our guide to winch line pull and drum layers explains this relationship. For recovery vehicle installations, our recovery truck winch sizing guide covers the main selection considerations.
This winch is intended for pulling and recovery, not overhead lifting. Use suitable independent restraints to secure vehicles during transport.
