The EN4300 is an EN 14492-1-rated 24V recovery winch with 9,480lb of first-layer line pull, 34m × 9.2mm synthetic rope, an aluminium hawse fairlead and a waterproof wired remote. Built for professional recovery vehicles with free UK delivery.

The Novawinch EN4300 is a professional 24V recovery winch with 9,480lb (4,300kg / approximately 4.3 tonnes) of rated line pull on the first rope layer. Designed for recovery trucks, car transporters, flatbed vehicles and commercial fleets, it combines controlled pulling performance with a long, lightweight synthetic rope.
This configuration includes 34m of 9.2mm synthetic winch rope and an aluminium hawse fairlead. For applications where resistance to abrasive surfaces is the priority, see the EN4300 with steel wire rope.
The EN4300 is intended for demanding commercial installations where controlled pulling, extended rope capacity and documented winch performance are important. Its 24V electrical system suits recovery trucks, car transporters and other commercial vehicles equipped with a compatible 24V battery and charging system.
A four-stage planetary gearbox provides a high 516:1 reduction ratio for controlled pulling under load. At its full first-layer rating of 9,480lb, the winch operates at approximately 1.3m/min and draws around 200A. With no load applied, line speed increases to approximately 3.2m/min with a current draw of around 50A.
The supplied 34m × 9.2mm synthetic rope is lighter and easier to handle than an equivalent steel wire rope. It does not produce sharp wire splinters, although it must still be handled carefully and inspected before every recovery operation.
Synthetic rope should be protected from sharp edges, excessive heat, chemical contamination and abrasive surfaces. Read our guide to synthetic rope versus steel cable for help choosing the correct configuration.
The stated 9,480lb rating applies to the first rope layer, where the winch produces its greatest pulling force. Available pull decreases as additional rope builds up on the drum, falling to approximately 6,300lb on the fourth layer.
Learn more about this effect in our guide to winch line pull and drum layers.
The winch measures approximately 642mm long, 215mm wide and 288mm high. It supports 254mm × 114.3mm and 254mm × 165.1mm mounting patterns, providing flexibility when designing a suitable load-rated mounting structure.
Installation should include correctly sized cabling, suitable electrical protection, secure battery connections and a mounting system engineered for the expected loads. The hawse fairlead may require a separate mounting position rather than attaching directly to the winch body.
The 9,480lb figure describes pulling force, not maximum vehicle weight. Required winch capacity depends on vehicle mass, gradient, rolling resistance, surface conditions and the amount of rope remaining on the drum.
The EN4300 is intended for pulling and vehicle recovery. It must not be used for lifting people or suspended loads. Vehicles and equipment must be secured during transport using separate, approved load restraints rather than relying on the winch rope or brake.
The EN4300 comes with a Novawinch warranty and free UK delivery on eligible orders. See our delivery information for availability, order cut-off times and postcode restrictions.
