The PRO9500 is an IP68-rated 24V recovery winch with 9,500lb of first-layer line pull, 26m × 9.5mm synthetic rope, an aluminium hawse fairlead and a waterproof wired remote. Supplied with a warranty and free UK delivery.

The Novawinch PRO9500 is a compact 24V recovery winch delivering 9,500lb (4,309kg / approximately 4.3 tonnes) of rated line pull on the first rope layer. Its 24V electrical system makes it suitable for recovery vehicles, car transporters, plant trailers and other commercial vehicles fitted with a compatible 24V power supply.
Supplied with 26m of synthetic winch rope and an aluminium hawse fairlead, this configuration offers easier rope handling and lower overall weight than the equivalent PRO9500 with steel wire rope.
With no load applied, the PRO9500 has a line speed of approximately 16m/min and draws around 30A. At its full first-layer rating of 9,500lb, line speed is approximately 1.5m/min with a motor current of around 200A.
Actual pulling capacity and line speed reduce as additional rope layers build up on the drum. Read our guide to winch line pull and drum layers for an explanation of how this affects real-world performance.
Synthetic rope is lighter and easier to handle than steel wire rope, making it a practical choice where equipment weight and manual handling are important. It should be inspected regularly and protected from sharp edges, excessive heat and abrasive surfaces.
Our guide to synthetic rope versus steel cable can help you choose the most appropriate configuration for your vehicle and working conditions.
The winch measures approximately 606mm long, 172mm wide and 250mm high, with a standard 254mm × 114mm mounting bolt pattern. Installation should use a suitable load-rated mounting structure, correctly sized cabling, appropriate electrical protection and a compatible 24V battery system.
The waterproof handheld remote has a 3.9m cable, allowing the operator to control the winch from a position with a clear view of the rope, vehicle and recovery area.
The 9,500lb figure is the winch’s maximum rated pulling force on the first rope layer, not the maximum permissible vehicle weight. The required winch capacity depends on the vehicle, gradient, surface conditions, rolling resistance and the number of rope layers remaining on the drum.
This winch is intended for pulling and vehicle recovery. It must not be used for lifting people or suspended loads. Vehicles and equipment must be secured for transport using independent, approved restraints.
The PRO9500 comes with a Novawinch warranty and free UK delivery on eligible orders. See our delivery information for availability, order cut-off times and postcode restrictions.
