The EN6100 is a heavy-duty EN 14492-1-rated 24V recovery winch with 13,500lb of first-layer line pull and 33m × 12mm steel wire rope. Built for professional recovery trucks and commercial transport applications, with a waterproof wired remote and free UK delivery.

The Novawinch EN6100 is a heavy-duty 24V recovery winch with 13,500lb (6,100kg / approximately 6.1 tonnes) of rated line pull on the first rope layer. Designed for recovery trucks, heavy car transporters, low loaders and commercial fleets, it combines high pulling capacity with controlled four-stage planetary gearing.
This configuration includes 33m of 12mm steel wire rope and a waterproof wired handheld remote, providing the reach and abrasion resistance required for demanding professional recovery work.
The EN6100 is designed for commercial vehicles that require greater pulling capacity than a conventional 4x4 or light recovery winch. Typical applications include heavy recovery trucks, commercial car transporters, plant recovery vehicles, flatbeds and low loaders fitted with a compatible 24V electrical system.
The four-stage planetary gearbox provides a 516:1 reduction ratio for controlled pulling under heavy loads. At its full first-layer rating of 13,500lb, the winch operates at approximately 1.4m/min and draws around 300A. With no load applied, line speed increases to approximately 4m/min with a current draw of around 40A.
The 33m × 12mm steel wire rope provides abrasion resistance and extended reach for commercial recovery operations. Steel wire rope is particularly suitable for environments where the line may encounter rough surfaces, although it must be inspected regularly for broken strands, corrosion, flattening and kinks.
Operators should always wear suitable winching gloves when handling steel wire rope. Read our guide to synthetic rope versus steel cable for more information about selecting and maintaining winch rope.
The stated 13,500lb rating applies to the first rope layer. As additional rope builds up on the drum, the effective drum diameter increases and the available pulling force decreases. Rated pull is approximately 11,400lb on the second layer, 9,830lb on the third and 8,650lb on the fourth.

The EN6100 measures approximately 638mm long, 304mm wide and 288mm high. Three mounting patterns are provided: 254mm × 114mm, 254mm × 165mm and 254mm × 216mm. This gives installers flexibility when designing a suitable load-rated mounting structure.
The installation must include correctly sized cabling, appropriate electrical protection, secure battery connections and a mounting system engineered for the expected loads. The vehicle’s battery and charging system must also be capable of supporting the winch’s current demand.
The 13,500lb figure describes pulling force, not maximum vehicle weight. The required capacity depends on vehicle mass, gradient, surface conditions, rolling resistance and the amount of rope remaining on the drum.
The EN6100 is intended for pulling and vehicle recovery. It must not be used for lifting people or suspended loads. Vehicles, plant and other equipment must be secured during transport using separate, approved load restraints rather than relying on the winch rope or brake.
The EN6100 comes with a Novawinch warranty and free UK delivery on eligible orders. See our delivery information for availability, order cut-off times and postcode restrictions.
