8mm Synthetic Winch Rope (5,440kg / 12,000lbs MBL)
This yellow 8mm synthetic winch rope directly replaces steel cable on 4x4 and recovery winches. It is considerably lighter than steel cable, significantly stronger for its size, floats, and features a coated finish for abrasion resistance. Should the line fail, the risk of whiplash is far lower than with traditional steel cable.
Lighter, Stronger, and Safer Than Steel Cable
Compared with traditional steel winch cable, this synthetic rope is approximately six times lighter and much easier to handle, with no risk of dangerous splinters. It offers an impressive 5,440kg Minimum Breaking Load and experiences no significant strength loss when spooled on the drum.
Floats and Resists Abrasion
As this rope floats, it is the ideal upgrade for wet or muddy vehicle recoveries where a steel cable would sink. The coated finish provides protection against abrasion from rocks and fairleads, while its bright yellow colour ensures high visibility on the drum and in the field.
