Can I use a roller fairlead with synthetic winch rope?
It is generally recommended to use a Roller Fairlead for steel wire rope and a Hawse Fairlead for synthetic rope. While rollers can work with synthetic rope, they must be perfectly smooth; any burrs or gaps between the rollers can trap and damage synthetic fibers.
