Serious Recovery Power for Recovery Trucks, Transporters and 24V 4x4s

The Novawinch Stinger 12000 is a 24V 12000lb electric winch built for demanding recovery work in the UK. Designed for recovery trucks, car transporters, plant loading and 4x4s with 24V electrical systems, it delivers the pulling power, control and durability you need when conditions turn difficult. With steel wire rope, wireless remote control and backup wired operation, the Stinger 12000 is engineered to perform when reliability matters most. 24V operation reduces current draw compared with 12V for the same load, which helps protect wiring and batteries on commercial and heavy-duty rigs.

Built for Heavy-Duty Use

The Stinger series is designed for repeated, high-load use. Upgraded electronics and premium solenoids improve efficiency under pressure, while larger gears and a reinforced drive spline help the winch cope with frequent heavy-duty recovery cycles. If you want a recovery winch that feels dependable in real working conditions, the Stinger 12000 is built for exactly that.

Durable Steel Wire Rope for Tough Terrain

This model comes fitted with high-grade steel wire rope for excellent abrasion resistance on rocks, rough ground and demanding recovery routes. It is a strong choice for drivers and operators who prefer the traditional toughness and wear resistance of wire rope over synthetic.

Sealed for British Weather and Harsh Conditions

Mud, rain and water crossings are part of the job, so the Stinger 12000 is built with enhanced sealing that exceeds IP68 standards. This helps protect the internal components from dust and water ingress, giving you more confidence in wet, muddy and unpredictable UK conditions.

Wireless Freedom with Wired Backup

The DUO Control System gives you the flexibility of wireless operation, allowing you to control the winch from a safer position. For added peace of mind, a wired backup connection is also included, so you still have control if the remote battery fails or signal interference becomes an issue.

Safe, Controlled Operation

An advanced automatic braking system helps prevent rollback during lifting and loading, giving you more control when positioning vehicles or equipment. Whether you are recovering a stuck 4x4 or loading heavy machinery, the Stinger 12000 is designed to deliver smooth, controlled pulling power.

Key Features

  • 12,000lb (5443kg) pulling capacity for heavy 4x4 recovery, transport and commercial use
  • 24V electric winch suitable for recovery trucks, transporters and 24V vehicles
  • Steel wire rope for excellent durability and abrasion resistance
  • Wireless remote control with wired backup via the DUO Control System
  • IP68+ sealing for dependable use in water, mud and harsh weather
  • Upgraded solenoids and reinforced gearing for demanding recovery cycles
  • Automatic braking system for safer lifting, loading and controlled recovery

Please note: Suitable for 4x4, recovery, transport and commercial use where a 24V system is fitted. Ensure correct mounting and wiring for your vehicle.

Yes. This model is 24V only and is for vehicles or plant with a 24V electrical system, typical for many recovery trucks, flat-bed trucks and commercial rigs. For 12V systems (most 4x4s, ATVs, trailers), use the 12V Stinger 12000 wire rope version instead.

Yes. This model includes the DUO Control System: wireless remote plus wired backup. You can operate the winch from a safer position; if the wireless battery or signal is an issue, the wired remote still works. Both are included.

24V gives lower current draw at the same load than 12V, which reduces strain on the electrical system and is better for rigs that already run 24V. Choose the 24V Stinger 12000 if your vehicle or plant is 24V; choose the 12V version for 12V systems (e.g. most 4x4s and light commercial).

The Stinger 12000 (12V and 24V) comes with a 12 month warranty and free next day delivery across the UK. Technical support is available for fitment and wiring.
