Will using my winch drain my vehicle's battery?
Yes! Electric winches can draw a significant amount of power and can definitely drain your vehicle's battery if used extensively or improperly. Avoid continuous winching for extended periods. Give the battery time to recover between pulls.
Why is my winch just clicking?
A clicking sound usually indicates a faulty solenoid. This solenoid is a switch that sends power to the winch motor. If you're hearing clicking but the winch isn't turning, the solenoid is likely the problem. We sell replacement solenoids specifically designed for our winches. If your winch is still under warranty, get in touch with us! We'll troubleshoot the issue and repair or replace the solenoid free of charge if it's a warranty-covered defect.
What does the term "rated line pull" mean?
It's how much weight the winch can safely pull at its strongest. Think of it like the winch's muscle power. A higher number means it can pull heavier things. Always choose a winch with a rating higher than what you expect to pull!
Is this winch waterproof?
Yes, our electric winches are rated IP67/IP68 which provides complete protection of the motor, gearbox, and drum from water, mud, and dust. However, we do recommended a winch cover to protect the winch when not in use.
