12V electric winches run from your vehicle or trailer battery, so they’re ideal for 4x4 recovery, ATVs, and boat or equipment trailers. The Novawinch range includes 12V winches in a variety of capacities with synthetic or steel rope, IP67/IP68 waterproofing, and wired or wireless remotes. Whether you need a compact ATV winch or a heavy-duty 4x4 recovery winch, our 12V electric winches are built for reliable pulling power across the UK.
Novawinch’s 12V electric winch range runs from compact ATV and UTV winches (e.g. 2,500lb–4,500lb) through to 4x4 and recovery winches (e.g. 9,500lb–15,000lb). You can choose synthetic rope or steel wire rope, and wired or wireless remotes depending on the model. Many 12V winches have IP67 or IP68 waterproofing for off-road and trailer use. 12 month warranty, free next day delivery across the UK.
Choose a 12V electric winch when your vehicle or trailer has a 12V battery system, typical for most 4x4s, Jeeps, SUVs, ATVs, quads and many boat or equipment trailers. 24V winches are for trucks and rigs that run 24V. Using a 12V winch on a 12V system avoids the need for voltage converters and keeps installation straightforward.
Yes. 12V electric winches are well suited to 4x4 recovery, ATV and quad use, and trailers (including boat and equipment trailers) that have 12V power. The Novawinch range includes capacities and rope types (synthetic or steel) for light ATV use through to heavy-duty 4x4 and recovery. 12 month warranty and free next day delivery.
Synthetic rope is lighter and easier to handle and is a good choice for 4x4 and ATV recovery where safety and handling matter. Steel wire rope is very abrasion-resistant and suits industrial or heavy use. Both are available across the 12V range, choose synthetic for recovery and off-road, or steel where abrasion resistance is the priority.
A clicking sound usually indicates a faulty solenoid. The solenoid is the switch that sends power to the winch motor. If you hear clicking but the winch isn’t turning, the solenoid is likely the cause. We sell replacement solenoids designed for our winches. If your winch is still under warranty, get in touch, we’ll troubleshoot and repair or replace the solenoid free of charge if it’s a warranty-covered defect.
Yes. Electric winches can draw a lot of power and can drain your vehicle’s battery if used heavily or for long continuous pulls. Avoid long non-stop winching; give the battery time to recover between pulls. For frequent or heavy use, consider running the engine (if applicable) or upgrading your battery/charging setup.
12V electric winches from Novawinch come with a 12 month warranty and free next day delivery across the UK. Technical support is available for product selection and fitment.
